Anita Louise Glass Martindale

Anita Louise Glass was born October 27, 1942 to Joseph Edward Glass Sr. and Dorothy Holland Glass in Castleberry, Alabama. She died in her home on July 27, 2026 in Harrisburg, North Carolina.

Her early childhood was in Alabama followed by a move to New Orleans where she grew up and graduated high school. Louise married Mack Wilder, Jr. on March 29, 1959. They lived in California where their children Mack and Pam were born and then relocated to Alabama where their son David was born. They moved to Virginia in 1973 and later divorced. She married Ron Martindale on October 1, 1987 and gained two step children Kelly and Michael.

Louise worked throughout her life but is most known for her work as a clerk at Sears and Roebuck and later as a clerk at Lowes Home Improvement. She owned and operated Happy Times Kennel with her husband Ron in Warrenton, Virginia for over 20 years.

In 2015 she relocated to North Carolina where she enjoyed volunteering at the Veterans Administration Hospital, playing cards with friends and spending time with her family. She loved going out to eat with her favorites being Golden Corral, Captain Steve's Seafood, Chipotle and Harrisburg Family Restaurant. You could always find a jar of M&Ms, salt shaker and fresh tomatoes on her countertop and diet Dr Pepper in her fridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and brothers Edward and Richard.

She is survived by son Mack (Cathy) Wilder III, daughter Pam Hinkle, son David (Doreen) Wilder, step daughter Kelly Martindale, step son Michael Martindale, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest in the Holland Family cemetery in Castleberry, Alabama on August 8, 2026 at 10am.
