Ann Theresa Borsuk

June 30, 1934 - March 7, 2026

Concord, NC - Ann Theresa (Gallagher) Borsuk, 91, wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother passed peacefully surrounded by members of her family on March 7, 2026. Born June 30, 1934 in New York City, daughter of Charles James Gallagher and Bridget (Sullivan) Gallagher.

Attended grade school at St. Rose of Lima, her parish church, then graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Manhattan. Ann met Richard Borsuk at a Manhattan College dance. Married May 24, 1958 at St. Rose of Lima. It rained on their wedding day and the band did not show up; although their wedding day was not perfect, they were married for 61 years until Richard's passing in 2019.

Ann and Richard were great dancers and loved to be on the dance floor at weddings. She enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and cheering on the Carolina Panthers. She had a great sense of humor and was always eager to learn how to operate her cell phone. She and her husband loved being on Loon Lake in the Adirondacks and then Lake Norman even though she really did not know how to swim. They created so many great memories for their family and friends. Ann was very involved with St. James the Greater Catholic Church. She worked as the secretary and earned the reputation "Call on Ann and count on Ann." She volunteered at the Cooperative Christian Ministry, Soup Kitchen, Winter Night Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Mary's Visitor Group, and the Woman's Guild.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Richard, infant daughter, Geraldine, her siblings Edward, Eileen, Charles, Mary, James, Timothy, and Cornelius. Left to cherish her memory include her children John (Lisa) Borsuk, Diane Borsuk McDonald, Mary (Timothy) Dalaba, and Daniel (Maria) Borsuk. Grandchildren Michael (Danielle) Borsuk, Eric Borsuk, Allison (Joseph) Mando, Kyle (Madeleine) Slough, Courtney (Bryant) Goodman, Krista (Randall) Ung, Anthony and Justin Dalaba. Great-grandchildren who called her "Great", Andrew and Wyatt Goodman, Eleanor and Owen Ung, Genevieve Slough and Julianne Mando.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Tammy for the years helping Ann. The Taylor Glen Thrivemore Community where she lived for the past 7 years who were very caring. In addition, Via Hospice Care who gave Ann excellent care and helped her family tremendously.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave SW, Concord, NC on March 30, 2026 at 11:00 am. Graveside service will take place immediately after the Mass at St. James Catholic Cemetery located at 2323 Gold Hill Road, Concord, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. James the Greater Catholic Church.
