Barbara Suzanne Boiar Brennan, 58, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away on Monday June 6, 2026, following many years of declining health.
A visitation to honor and remember Barbara's life will be held at Wilkinson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
Born on May 14, 1968, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Barbara was the daughter of the late Elaine Rooth Boiar and the late Edward Boiar. She grew up in South Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1986.
Barbara worked for several years in medical records at Muhlenberg Hospital in New Jersey before later devoting herself fully to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around the people she loved most.
Barbara and her husband, Raymond Brennan, shared nearly 30 years of marriage and a life built on devotion, perseverance, and family. Together they raised their children, Brandon and Sabrina, and Barbara poured herself into her role as a mother. She was present for ball games, school events, family milestones, and the everyday moments that made a house feel like home. She even served as a team mom, always wanting to support and encourage her children in the things that mattered to them.
Barbara had a caring heart and found joy in creating special memories for those around her. She loved to cook and bake, especially during the holidays. Her sugar cookies were a family favorite, and Thanksgiving and Christmas were especially meaningful to her. She enjoyed preparing meals, making holiday traditions feel special, and gathering family together around the table.
Though Barbara faced a long and difficult journey with her health, she was deeply loved and faithfully cared for by her family. Ray and Brandon remained devoted to her care, doing all they could to support her through each season of illness. Their love and commitment were a reflection of the strong bond they shared with her.
In addition to her husband, Raymond Brennan of Concord, those left to cherish Barbara's memory include her son, Brandon Brennan of Concord; her daughter, Sabrina Baity and husband, Justice, of the Winston-Salem area; her brother, Edward Boiar of Greensboro, North Carolina; her sister, Linda Bocian of Brick, New Jersey; along with extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation, 920 Church Street N, Concord, NC 28025.
Barbara will be remembered for her love of family, her holiday traditions, her care for others, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
