Barbara Jeanne Wilkins

Barbara Jean (Harrison) Wilkins, aged 86 of Castle Rock, Colorado attained her Reward on May, 11th 2026 in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Born December 16th, 1939 in Houston Texas to Virgil and Helena Harrison Barbara (Harrison) Wilkins grew up primarily in Texas and after graduating Garfield High School in 1957, she attended Abilene Christian College where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She later moved to Odessa, Texas to be with her sister, June Guess.

She met, helped convert to the Lord, then married Cordie Don Wilkins of Pecos, Texas. Their three children were all born in Odessa before beginning a life of continual relocation across the country from Ohio to California and North Carolina with her husband. In each location she was a faithful member of the local church, teaching and mentoring young children and those newly married. She served her husband faithfully and supported, nourished and guided her children to become disciples of her Lord.

She is survived by children; Twain Scott Wilkins of Castle Rock, CO and his wife, Denise Wilkins; Donette Elaine Wilson of Brisbane, Australia and her husband Stephen Wilson; Derek Dane Wilkins of Tampa, Fl and his wife, Amy Wilkins. She has 7 grandchildren; Cordie Wilkins, Elise Wilkins, Nathan Wilson, Hannah (Wilson) Cavanagh, Caitlin Wilson, Avery June Wilkins, and Ellie Wilkins. She has two great-grandchildren; Zachary and Zoe Cavanagh.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend, June Guess and her husband of 58 years, Cordie Don Wilkins.
