Betty Jean McDonald White April 14, 1944 – August 9, 2025

Betty Jean McDonald White, 81, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Charity Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Marty Payton, followed by burial at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 prior to the service.

Born on April 14, 1944, in Marion County, SC, Jean was the daughter of the late Herbert and Beulah McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim White, son Johnny White, sister Ann, and brother, Herbert Jr.

A faithful member of Charity Baptist Church, Jean lived a life devoted to service, family, and faith. She dedicated over 34 years to the public school system, where she touched countless young lives with kindness, patience, and a genuine heart for helping others.

Jean will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her loving spirit, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. She had a special way of making everyone feel valued and welcomed, whether through a warm smile, a heartfelt prayer, or a listening ear.

She is survived by her son, Jeff White (Ann), grandchildren CJ (Morgan), Hunter, Benji (Victoria) JJ and his parents Juan and Dustin Cibik, six great grandchildren, sister, Flora Barnes and numerous nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church.
