It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Ray Blackwelder Jr., who departed this world on November 1, 2026. Bobby was born on February 11, 1963, in the charming town of Concord, North Carolina, where he spent much of his life surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Bobby was the son of the late Bobby Ray Blackwelder Sr., who preceded him in death, and Patsy Earnhardt, who survives him along with his brother, Rodney Wetter. Bobby's family and friends remember him as a kind and gentle soul, whose warmth and humor brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
An exemplary student, Bobby graduated with honors from Northwest Cabarrus High School, a testament to his dedication and hard work. His passion for learning and excellence was evident in every endeavor he pursued, particularly in his hobbies and interests.
Bobby had a lifelong love affair with NASCAR racing, finding joy and excitement in the fast-paced world of motorsports. He was an avid camper, finding solace and adventure in the great outdoors, and a skilled carpenter, crafting beauty and functionality with his hands.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held on November 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM at West Concord Cemetery, located at 331 Union Cemetery SW, Concord, NC 28027.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Bobby are invited to come together in remembrance of a life well-lived and a legacy of love and kindness.
