Bobby Ray Call, 60, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at Atrium Main in Charlotte, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on July 23, 1964, in Kannapolis, Bobby was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. He spent his career as the owner of an auto body repair shop and also worked as a used car salesman, earning the respect of those he worked with throughout the years.
Bobby was an active and generous member of his community. He was a proud Shriner, a 3rd degree Mason, and a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge. Through these organizations, he gave freely of his time and built lasting friendships rooted in service and camaraderie.
Family was the heart of Bobby's world. His greatest joy came from time spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Michael Call, and daughter-in-law, Lainee Call. He leaves behind five beloved grandchildren-Landon, Brentley, Luke, Libbie, and Oliver-who were truly the light of his life.
Bobby is also survived by his father, Bobby Steve Call, and his spouse Margaret Call; his sister, Lisa Call; and his brother, Stephen (Lynn) Call, along with Lynn's spouse, Lawrence Stewart, and their two sons, Stephen and Quentin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia "Pat" Faye Tennett Call, who passed away at the age of 79.
In his later years, Bobby was cared for with great compassion by both Erica Barnhardt and Dean Melton, who each played meaningful roles in his life and well-being. Their support and presence brought comfort not only to Bobby but to his family as well. He also shared a special bond with Erica's daughter, Madisyn Barnhardt.
