Boyce Theodore Simpson, Sr.

Boyce Theodore Simpson, Sr., 84, of Concord, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Boyce spent most of his working years as a pipefitter for various fire protection services. He was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Boyce had a love for fishing, hunting and racing. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling and westerns. His greatest love was spending time with his wife and family. Boyce will be remembered as a quiet, soft spoken, kindhearted, humble man.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Libby) Simpson of 63 years and grandson, Mitchell Bryan Simpson. He was also preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers. He is survived by sons Buddy Simpson (Tina), Scott Simpson (Kim) and Jimmy Simpson (Kristy) and one brother, David Simpson (Cynthia), four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Concord. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
