Carol Readling

Mrs. Sue Overcash Readling, formerly of Concord, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. James Watford. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Sue was born to her parents Glenn and Hazel Overcash on August 23, 1943 whom preceded her in death along with a sister Nancy Overcash Stamey and brother, Glenn Overcash, Jr. She was married to Paul Readling, Jr. for 32 years. They had a love and passion for traveling the country. She liked to sit and get involved in a good book until the last page. One of favorite things to do was to go the "Eagles" concert with her children and grandchildren any time they were local. Sue was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church until she could no longer able to attend.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband Paul Readling, Jr. of Landis; sons Lee Deaton, Jr. and Bobby Lewis, Jr. (Toni), all of China Grove; 3 step-children, Robin Johnson, Matthew Readling, Timothy Readling; grandchildren, Dalton Lewis (Megan) of Landis, Taylor Lewis (Jon) of Kannapolis, Felicia Foust (Jacob) of Kernersville, Tyler Gosa of Holden Beach and Jeremy Deaton of China Grove; great grandchildren Hera and Jameson of Landis, Skylar Bowen of China Grove, and Maddison Bowen of Kernersville; brother Mike Overcash (Karen) of Kannapolis; niece Kristen Overcash and nephew Brad Overcash.
