Mrs. Carolyn Cook Lowder, 89, joined the church triumphant on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Carolyn was born September 1, 1935 in Concord to the late Houston and Pauline Grady Cook. She was proceeded in death by her brother Daniel Cook. Carolyn graduated from Concord High School and the Women's College of Greensboro. She held various jobs throughout the years that allowed her to prioritize her family. She retired from Phillip Morris where she spent many enjoyable years as a tour guide. Carolyn loved playing bridge, beach trips with special friends, being a member of her church circle, cooking and baking. She was an avid sports fan who loved watching Atlanta Braves baseball.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert 'Bob' Lowder and daughters Robyn Baker (John) and Susan Lowder. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Atrium Health Cabarrus and Brookdale Senior Living for their kindness and loving care.

Carolyn's life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, at Oakwood Cemetery officiated by Pastor Carrie Bishop, and the family will visit with friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church (950 Bradley Street NE, Concord, NC 28025).
