Christine Ludlum Duke, 92, of Concord, received her heavenly reward on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial later.
Born January 29, 1933, in Robeson County, NC, Christine was the daughter of the late Jackson Ludlum and Lois Floyd Ludlum. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Taft Council Duke; along with her son, Wiley Duke
She spent many years working in the textile industry as a cloth inspector at Craftsman Fabric, where she was known for her work ethic and dedication.
Christine was a woman of simple joys-she loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her hands were rarely still, whether she was tending to flowers, preparing a meal, or sharing stories that brought comfort and laughter. She was a faithful wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and a friend to many.
Christine is survived by her daughters, Linda Miller and husband Charles of Concord, and Irene Lowry of Concord; her grandchildren, JoAnn Hall and husband, Bill of Kernersville, Johnny Lowry and wife, Angie of Concord, Keith Lowry of Concord, Matthew Miller and wife, Molly of Concord; great-grandchildren, Abby Lowry of High Point and Noah Lowry of Belmont; extended family members, and dear friends.
Christine was the last of five children and cherished her siblings and large extended family. Her quiet strength, loving spirit, and devotion to those she held dear will never be forgotten.
