Christopher Todd Ewing - affectionately known by many as Pockets, Mudd, or Mayor - was born on December 13, 1970, in Concord, North Carolina. He spent most of his life in the Kannapolis and Enochville community, where he was known for his hard work, big heart, and even bigger sense of humor.
After attending South Rowan High School, Chris began his career at Joe Ervin Grading, where he quickly earned a reputation for "moving the earth." His skill, dedication, and work ethic were matched only by his love for the people around him.
In 1999, Chris met the love of his life, Amy Peacock, and from that moment on, the two were inseparable. They married in May of 2000 and built a life together grounded in laughter, loyalty, and adventure. Their love was evident to everyone who knew them - a partnership filled with joy, mischief, and devotion.
Chris and Amy shared a passion for travel, exploring the world hand in hand. During the COVID years, they took their sense of adventure on the road, camping their way across the United States and creating countless memories beneath open skies.
Chris was a devoted husband, father, and friend - a man who lived with purpose and gave his whole heart to those he loved. His kindness and warmth left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shirley, whose memory he carried close to his heart. Chris is survived by his loving wife Amy, his sisters and brothers, his stepfather, father, son, and cherished grandchildren - all of whom will continue to honor his spirit and legacy in their own lives.
Chris's laughter, his strength, and his unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His story will live on through every person he touched and every life he brightened.
