Christopher Lee Gray

Christopher Lee Gray, 51, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Christopher was born November 7, 1974, in Davidson County, Tennessee, to Pamela Jane Baylor Gibson and the late John Edward Gray. He spent much of his working life in the construction and restaurant industries. In his younger years, Christopher worked extensively in construction before later transitioning more into restaurant and retail work, where his interest in food became another part of his life.

Christopher was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping and was happiest when he could spend time outside. He also enjoyed racing and was a devoted University of Tennessee Volunteers fan-a love that stayed with him from his Tennessee roots throughout his life.

Christopher had made the Concord area his home for approximately the past 10 to 15 years. During that time, he shared his life with his longtime girlfriend, Kelly Elizabeth Sherman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Pamela Jane Baylor Gibson and husband Robert, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; his longtime girlfriend, Kelly Elizabeth Sherman of Concord; his half-brother, Robert Philip "Bobby" Gibson of Shady Cove, Oregon; and other extended family members, friends, and acquaintances whose lives he touched throughout the years.
