Darryl William Caudle, "Crash", 62
Darryl passed tragically on Sunday evening April 12, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love. He lived a free and often rebellious life that was fully his own, and did so with an abundantly full heart of love for all of us.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm, on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Aaron Edwards. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:45 pm prior to the service.
He was a father with a true "do as I say, not as I do" attitude always instilling in his kids and his grankids to be proud and true to who they are. His words, "if you feel like you're messing up, then you're probably messing up!", will always remain. He never withheld on expressions of love and pride towards those he loved.
Everyone who knew Crash knew how lucky they were. His community of friends who would be better described by him as family, know him for his unwavering loyalty to them and they felt the same towards him.
Crash lived an infamous life. Often wearing a smile he was proud to show and one that was contagious. He grew up with a passion for being outdoors including hunting, fishing, golfing, and especially raising his so well known feathered friends.
Darryl was always hardworking and dependable in his profession. He developed a reputation as being the person to call for the work he did.
Darryl William Caudle was the very proud son of the most devoted parents, William Dewey Caudle and Doris Troutman Caudle; who he loved and admired with his whole heart.
Darryl also leaves behind his four kids. His daughter Courtney Fussell, his daughter Ashley Martin, his son Johnathan Caudle, his daughter Lauren Caudle, along with their mother Marvel Caudle whom his love for was unending. Woof.
Darryl had six beloved grandkids whom he adored; Jayce and Lucy, Joseph and Jarrett, Isla, and Aiyana.
He is also survived by his three lovely sisters; Denise Cothran and husband, Mike, Dawn Jordan, and Diann Gothard and husband, Rick whom he loved dearly. Alongside his many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-neices.
We have all suffered an immense loss of such a uniquely special man. We say one final goodbye to him as his spirt "burns the road up" to Heaven where we know we will see and feel his love again.
