David Lefler

Mr. David Ray Lefler age 86 of Gold Hill, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 5th from 10 to 11am at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11am with Rev. Keith Navey officiating. He will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park.

David was born July 20, 1938 in Cabarrus County and was the son of Walter Theodore Lefler and Mary Bell Cannup Lefler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Shoe Lefler and 10 brothers and sisters.

David retired from Cabarrus Plastics and was a long-time member of Roberta Baptist Church. He loved fishing, no matter where and with whom. Lots of fishing stories and memories will be remembered. David also enjoyed gardening and raising tomatoes. His bounty was shared with friends and loved ones. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish David's memory is his sister, Margaret Oldham; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and extended family.
