Our loving and special child, David E. Traylor went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2017.
The family will receive friends and family Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Rev. Tamara Wensil officiating. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.
David was born September 19, 1970 in Mecklenburg County. He was the son of David L. and Esther S. Traylor of Harrisburg. Also surviving are his sister, Stephanie McDaniel and husband, Brian of Harrisburg; niece Madison McDaniel and nephew, Austin McDaniel, who meant the world to David; a special family friend, Nancy McDaniel; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
David attended Central Cabarrus High School and the Cabarrus Workshop. He enjoyed NASCAR, traveling to the beach and mountains, spending time on his computer and working puzzles. He was always proud to participate in the Special Olympics. David loved spending time with his family and he will certainly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Green Shoe Ministry, 1428 Old Charlotte Road, Concord, NC 28027 or to Hospice and Palliative Care, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
