Deborah Jean Furr

Deborah "Debbie" Furr, 72, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Debbie was born in Concord, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Eunice Simpson and the late Hobert Riley. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sonny Furr; her brothers, Steven Riley, Mark Riley, and Jeff Riley; and her sister, Patsy Auten.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Riley; her sisters, Wanda Raduly, Glenda Riley, and Verna Gordon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and especially loved spending time outdoors and working with her flowers. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and crocheting, and music was always something that brought her happiness, particularly her favorite beach music. Debbie also enjoyed reading and studying her bible.

The beach held a special place in Debbie's heart. She and Sonny loved spending time there together, creating memories that she continued to cherish through the years. Whether she was enjoying her flowers, listening to beach music, working on a crochet project, or settling in for a game of Scrabble, Debbie found happiness in the things and people she loved most.

Debbie will be remembered with love by her family and by the many nieces, nephews, and others whose lives she touched. The memories they shared with her will remain a treasured part of her legacy.
