Eleanor "Ellie" VanWaes

ALBEMARLE- Eleanor "Ellie" VanWaes, 78, passed away at Atrium Health Stanly on November 14,2025.

Ellie was born in Ocean County N.J. to Raymond and Virginia Madeline Brown Reynolds. She was a retired school bus driver for the Wayne County School System in New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and husband, Donald VanWaes.

Mrs. VanWeas is survived by her brother, Charles O. Reynolds of the home; step-daughter, Kim Tran of Florida; nieces, Katie and Jenifer Reynolds; other extended family members and friends.
