FLORENCE ARLEE (STRUBE) WENSIL

July 11, 1931 - August 4, 2026

Florence Arlee (Strube) Wensil is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adam Wensil, her parents, John William Strube and Eunice Estelle (Kepley) Strube, brothers, Johnson Roland Strube and Ted William Strube. Survivors include her 3 children: Bonnie W. Moose (Benny), Billy Wensil (Laurie), and Freida W. Blake (Tommy); 6 grandchildren Bonita M. Rowland (David), Benjie Moose (Susan), Adam Blake (Sharon), Eric Wensil, Jonathan Wensil, Amanda Blake Mitchell; 9 great-grandchildren Connor Rowland (Kristin), Gavin Moose, Claire Rowland, Keegan Moose, Carter Rowland, Riley Wensil, Addison Blake, and Benjamin Wensil, Ariel Blake. Great-Great-Grandchild "Baby Rowland" due in October.

Florence always said that she was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mother; however, she used her self-taught secretarial skills to assist her husband with his Bill Wensil & Sons Plumbing Company and B & W Construction Company.

She is fondly remembered for her generous and gracious heart as she supported her family, friends, and Oakdale Park Church of the Nazarene. She served as Church Missionary Committee president, taught Sunday School, enjoyed directing youth and Christmas plays, creating costumes for church events, and hosting bridal and baby showers. Florence was a skilled seamstress and made clothing for herself, her daughters, and others. She loved shopping, especially at area malls, outlets, and the Southern Christmas Show. Florence was always working on some type of pottery or craft. Her family never knew what type of recipe she may be preparing that she had viewed on The Betty Feezor Show. She could not miss the Gaither Gospel Saturday shows on TV, and she loved attending Billy Graham Crusades and church revival meetings. A special treat was traveling to the beach, mountains, and many other places with family or friends. She looked forward to hosting family gatherings for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, family birthdays, and many other events.

Florence was the most patient and understanding lady, and she always had a glowing smile on her pretty face. She never got in a hurry and always had time to stop and talk, to console, or to love on a family member or a friend.

The funeral service for Florence Arlee (Strube) Wensil is scheduled for Friday at 1:00 pm at Life Point Church of the Nazarene, located at 2520 State Hwy 49, Concord, NC.

At the close of the service, the family will gather for a 30-minute visitation in the lobby at Life Point Church of the Nazarene.

The family will also visit after the burial at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Road, SW, Concord, NC.
