Francis Chapman "Chip" Tuttle, Jr., 75, of Concord, passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2026.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union St. Concord, NC, officiated by Rev. Stacey Lundy. Friends are invited to greet the family afterward during a reception downstairs in the Coltrane Room.
Chip was born on November 4, 1950, in Savannah, Georgia, to Francis Chapman "Chap" Tuttle, Sr. and Nocoleta "Nokie" Lewis Tuttle.
Chip lived a life full of energy, curiosity, connection, and faith. He had a gift for conversation and never seemed to meet a stranger. Whether through church, family, work, or one of his many interests, Chip had a way of making people feel known and welcomed.
He graduated from East Carolina University, where he played baseball. His love for baseball stayed with him throughout his life, and he was an avid collector of baseball cards. He also enjoyed coin collecting, genealogy, family history, and organizing reunions, always valuing the stories and connections that tied generations together.
Professionally, Chip spent much of his life in sales, first with NAPA and later with Federal Mogul. He eventually became an entrepreneur through his own company, ITC, working in the hydraulic pump business throughout the Southeast. He enjoyed the road, the conversations, and the people he met along the way.
Chip was a longtime and faithful member of Central United Methodist Church. His church family was an important part of his life, and his faith remained a steady foundation for him and his family.
Above all, Chip loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved being surrounded by those closest to him and took great pride in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Nocoleta "Nokie" Lewis Tuttle and Francis Chapman "Chap" Tuttle, Sr., Chip is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rosellen Harrington Tuttle; his children, Tabitha Lynn Northway of Wilmington, Angel Marie Hope and fiancé Tyler Shoemaker of Kannapolis, Savannah Smiles Tuttle and Mitchell Jackson of Concord, and Justin Chase Tuttle of Concord; his grandchildren, Isabella Grace James, Emersyn Rose, Gavin Brown, Roman Tuttle, and Blake Tuttle; his sister, Janet Luckhaupt and husband Brad of Lakeland, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church.
Chip will be remembered for his warmth, humor, strong faith, love of family, and the countless connections he made throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the stories he preserved, the people he encouraged, and the family he loved so deeply.
