Franklin "Frank" Smith

Mr. Franklin “Frank” Delano Smith passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Concord, NC.

A graveside service will be 11 AM Thursday at Mimosa Cemetery in Davidson, NC officiated by Rev. Carol Carkin. The family will greet friends at the cemetery.

Frank was born August 30, 1932 in Concord to the late Martin Luther Smith and Hessie Flowe Smith. He spent his career as a salesman at Independence Nissan in Charlotte.

Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn Reid Smith; son, Brian Reid Smith and wife Katie Elizabeth Smith; sisters, Mary Ella Smith Layton, and Betty Smith Faggart, nephew Martin Craig Layton and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the “Back Pack” Ministries at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union St. N., Concord, NC 28025 or the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association Inc, Western Carolina Chapter 4600 Park Rd. Ste #250 Charlotte, NC 28209-3730.
