Gene Ferguson

Alan Gene Ferguson, 76 of Salisbury, NC, passed away on December 30th 2025 at Lexington Health Care Center.

Born on July 2nd 1949, in High Point, NC, Gene was the second child of Eugene Thomas Ferguson and Stella Catherine Ferguson. After attending Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, NC he went to serve in the U.S Marine Corps as a Vietnam combat veteran. He achieved the rank of E-5 and completed his service with an honorable discharge.

Beyond his professional life where he worked as a marketing manager for several chemical coating companies, Gene enjoyed spending time with his family, time at the beach and restoring automobiles. He was known for his generosity and passion for family ties.

Gene was preceded in death by his father Eugene Ferguson, mother Stella Ferguson and brother Mark Ferguson. He is survived by his sister Amelia Yarbrough (Bob), his four children, Heath (Patty), Emily (Jo), Adam & Blake (Brittany), his four grandchildren; Christina Huneycutt, Reilly, Cora & Hannah Ferguson.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm January 11th, 2026 at Center United Methodist Church 1119 Union St S, Concord, NC 28025.
