Hilda Ertl Braungart

Hilda Ertl Braungart, age 92, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Morningside of Concord - AL.

Born on July 16, 1933, in Buffalo, New York, Hilda was the daughter of the late Henry Ertl and Frances Narnhammer Ertl. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Peter Braungart, and son, Christopher Anthony Braungart.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Alexander (Gary) of Lincolnton, NC, and Connie Tan (Tom) of Troutman, NC; her son Charles "Chip" Braungart (Vickie) of Belcamp, MD; her daughter-in-law, Gina Giannelli Braungart of Charlotte, NC; and her brother, Theodore Ertl (Elaine) of Buffalo, NY. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Chelsea, Marisa, Thomas, Andrew, Stephen; great-grandchildren Adison, Hudson, Kennedy and Delaney; niece/godchild Erika Telban and nephew Theodore Ertl.

Hilda lived a life of faith, family, and love. She moved to North Carolina to be closer to family, and was a member of St Mark's Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC where she was a committed volunteer. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A private family burial will take place at a later date at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Buffalo, NY, where Hilda will be laid to rest beside her husband.
