Janie Lee Wallace Hunsucker

Mrs. Janie Lee Wallace Hunsucker, of Concord, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday (8/1/26) at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Timothy Walker, with burial following at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Janie was born August 14, 1947 in Concord to the late Jim Allen Wallace and Bernice Newsome Wallace. She was also preceded in death by husband Marshall Hunsucker and daughter Sandy Hunsucker. After graduating from South Rowan High School, she worked as a Unit Secretary at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital and NorthEast Medical Center. Janie was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Janie is survived by son Dale A. Hunsucker; grandsons Bradley Hunsucker (Reagan) of Concord, and Brett Hunsucker (Aubrey) of Ft. Mill, SC; great grandchildren Easton, Ariel, Bella-Lynn, and Matthew; brother James A. Wallace (Alice) of Salisbury; and a number of extended family members.
