Jill Annetta Hurlocker

Jill Annetta Hurlocker, 65, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, surrounded by her family.

Jill was born on October 18, 1961. She was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School. She dedicated many years to the Cabarrus County School System before her retirement. Above all, she was a proud mother to her daughters, Chelsea and Katrina, and a proud grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Jill possessed a true spirit of adventure. She loved hiking, camping, kayaking, and roadtrips, and she was always ready for whatever journey came next. Among her proudest accomplishments was completing most of her bucket list by traveling out west to explore the national parks. She held a deep appreciation for all forms of art, particularly glass fusion. Those who knew her will remember her as kind, adventurous, and nurturing; a woman who cared for others with warmth and generosity.

Jill is survived by her father, Robert Hurlocker; her daughters, Katrina Valentine (John Valentine) and Chelsea Cline; her brother, Robert Anthony Hurlocker (Laura Hurlocker,Sophie Hurlocker); her grandchildren, Emma Grace Valentine, Henry Valentine, Cara Cline, and Jackson Cline. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Barrier Hurlocker.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, at New Gilead Reformed Church, 2400 Old Salisbury Concord Road, Concord, NC 28025. Family and friends will gather there to give thanks for her life and to find comfort in faith.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
