Joel O. Lambert

Mr. Joel O. Lambert passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Crosspointe Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Leon Hawks. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 PM Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Joel was born June 22, 1948, in Concord to the late Johnnie Odis Lambert and Ruby Starnes Lambert. He retired from the City of Concord as Superintendent of Cemeteries. Joel was a longtime member of Crosspointe Baptist Church, and served as Chairman of the Deacons for many years. Joel loved classic cars and trucks; he was quite the "Car Guy." His fellow car enthusiasts are invited to bring their classic cars to his service.

Joel is survived by his wife, Diane Womble Lambert; daughters Krissy Lambert of Mt. Pleasant, and Tammy Lambert and spouse Angie Lavendar of Apex; granddaughters Mary-Mak, Ella, and Emma Burris; sister Sheila Morgan of Concord; and other extended family members.
