John Michael Cuthbertson

John Cuthbertson passed away on October 30, 2026 at the age of 80. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 21, 1946, John built a life centered on faith and love with his wife Judy in California, Tennessee, Arizona, and North Carolina. John was known for his kindness, faithfulness, and service to others.

He enjoyed playing games and spending time with family and friends, woodworking, bird carving, painting landscapes, camping, and hiking. His favorite vacations were to Rocky Mountain National Park. He retired as a program manager from Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona, during which he took multiple business trips overseas that he loved to tell about.

He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Judy, children, Michael (Krista) Cuthbertson and Cari (Todd) Noe, grandchildren Alison Bartram, Paul Cuthbertson, and Sam Noe, and goddaughters Sydney, Lauren, and Taylor Kwan. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Bruce and Tom.

The family will receive friends at The Refuge Church in Kannapolis on Thursday, November 5th at 12:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
