Jonathan Coe Donnelly

Jonathan Donnelly passed away May 28, 2026. He was 62. He was born in Concord to Thomas and Martha Donnelly, who predeceased him.

In spite of his Down syndrome, he traveled extensively with his parents, including several trips to England and Ireland. For many years he attended Rowan Vocational Workshop. Jonathan enjoyed going to the airport to watch airplanes, dancing with friends, and eating chicken tenders. Before his dementia, he had a talent for remembering everyone's birthday.

He was predeceased by his brother George in 2005.

He is survived by sister Beth Donnelly Alexander (Terry) in Concord and brother Tom Donnelly (Mary) in Asheville.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 18, 2026, at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Neal Carter.
