Kathleen Ann Butler

Kathleen Ann Butler (Katie), 79, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2026.

Born May 31, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, Katie was the daughter of the late Martin Mostyn and Jane Keckeisen Mostyn.

Katie devoted much of her life to her work as a librarian, where her love for knowledge, reading, and children touched countless lives. An avid reader herself, she found great joy in books and lifelong learning, always appreciating the quiet comfort and adventure they provided.

She is survived by her son Primus Butler, and her daughters, Gretchen Lease and husband Chuck, and Lindsey Duckworth and husband Matt; and four beloved grandchildren, Renaissance, Democracy, Crusade, and Prophecy. Katie will also be remembered by extended family and friends who loved her kind and thoughtful spirit, her giving nature and spunky humor.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. Katie's love for life and people will live on forever.
