Kimberly Goode

Mrs. Kimberly Jo Porter Goode, 61, of Mooresville, passed away, Monday December 1, 2025, in her home.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at The Gospel Lighthouse Church, 453 Concordia Church Rd., China Grove, NC 28023. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Kimberly Porter Goode was born on August 6, 1964, in Amarillo, Texas to the late Everette Eugene Porter and the Late Rita Carolyn Starnes.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Goode of Mooresville, Sister Kelly Porter Scott (Jeff Scott) of Goldhill, Daughters Kember Goode (Chris Franklin) of Mooresville and Kaley Halyburton (Jesse Halyburton) of Lexington, Two Grandchildren Harper Jo Armstrong and Waylen Franklin, Half Sister Connie Porter Stegall and Step Sister Heather Poston Brown. Preceded in death by her sister Mechelle Porter Strickland and half brother Johnathan Porter.

Kim was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a devoted Christian who loved her family and always put others first. Beach trips with her family were some of her most memorable times. Christmas was her holiday, she cherished the time of year that was spent with family and the most perfectly decorated Christmas tree. As a mother she was perfection and as a Grammy she was the most special. She kept our secrets and eased our fears, as we mourn our loss on earth we rejoice knowing she is hand in hand with God.
