Mary Emily Montgomery Milikin

Mary Emily Montgomery Milikin, 79, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Harrisburg, North Carolina. Born on November 28, 1945, in Albemarle, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by compassion, service, and unwavering dedication to others.

Mary graduated from Albemarle Senior High School in 1964 and went on to pursue her calling in nursing. She earned her Registered Nurse certification from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1967. Her career as a nurse reflected her deep commitment to caring for others-a value that defined every aspect of her life.

A devoted member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Concord, Mary was actively involved in numerous church committees throughout the years. Her most cherished role was serving on the Care and Concern Team. Through this ministry, she found great purpose in sending cards to celebrate birthdays and offer encouragement and support to fellow congregants. Her thoughtful gestures touched many lives and exemplified her nurturing spirit.

Mary's legacy continues through her loving family: her son J.D. Ramseur and his wife Misty; her daughter Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Ramseur Myers and her husband John; and her grandsons Spencer and Cole Ramseur. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters Miriam Cranford (AT) and their sons Tom and John; and Katherine Harwood and her daughters Yvette and Lisa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Beasley Montgomery and Katherine Elizabeth Allen Montgomery.

Mary will be remembered as an amazing, strong, independent woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindness, resilience, and quiet acts of care left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

May Mary's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, at 03:00 PM at Calvary LutheranChurch 950 Bradley Street. Visitation will follow the service in the Yount Fellowship Hall.
