Patricia Hinson

Patricia Jackson Hinson passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, October 24, 2025. Pat, as she was known to friends and family, was born in Seven Springs, NC on August 27, 1939, to the late Owen "Toddy" Jackson and Martha Jones Jackson. She was married to Donald Edward Hinson on July 26, 1959, at Garris Chapel Church in LaGrange, NC. She completed her nursing diploma at Louise Harkey School of Nursing at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital and worked 41 years until retirement from the same hospital. She also completed her BSN in 1989 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Pat is survived by her husband of 66 years Don Hinson, three daughters Donna Hinson Brown (Jeff) of Concord; Nancy Carol Hinson (Grady Privette) of Zebulon, NC and Laura Jo Hinson of Concord, NC, and her beloved nephew Darrell Wayne Coble of Concord. Additional survivors include her sister Norma Ann Jackson Vinson of LaGrange, NC and brother Owen Jackson Jr (Dorothy) of Goldsboro, NC; grandson Zachary Jackson Brown (Toni); grandson Dakota Bland Rice (Mallory), and granddaughter, Kory Nicole Rice Kebea (Brandon), three great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at West Concord Baptist Church, 225 Warren C. Coleman Boulevard, Concord, NC 28027, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2 PM. A private burial will follow the service at West Concord Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to West Concord Baptist Church where Pat was a long-time choir member, Sunday School Teacher and member or to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081. The family would like to extend a gratitude to Cabarrus Emergency Medical Services and the Concord Police Department for their extreme professionalism and kindness at the time of our mothers' death.
