Patricia Aileen Mantooth, age 88, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on a beautiful summer morning on June 25, 2026. She entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior after a life devoted to faith, family, and service. A lifelong resident of Concord and devoted member of McGill Baptist Church, Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, encouragement, and unwavering trust in God. Her legacy of Christian faith, compassion, and joyful love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Patricia was born on March 15, 1938, in Concord, North Carolina. She graduated from Hartsell High School in 1957 and remained closely connected to many classmates throughout her life. On June 23, 1961, she married Charlie Franklin Mantooth, Sr., and together they built a loving home centered on Christian values, family, and service to others.
Throughout her life, Patricia was known for her positive outlook and uplifting presence. She worked for many years at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord, where she formed numerous lifelong friendships. Her caring nature and warm personality made her a beloved friend and coworker. Whether spending time with family and friends, enjoying music, or sharing laughter with those around her, Patricia brought joy wherever she went. Even in her final days, she treasured visits from loved ones, listening to music, and sharing meaningful moments with those closest to her.
Faith was the foundation of Patricia's life. As a devoted member of McGill Baptist Church in Concord, she lived out her beliefs through compassion, humility, and service. During her years at church, she especially enjoyed simple acts of ministry, such as delivering hot dogs, reading to children, and helping care for the nursery. She was always ready to offer encouragement, a helping hand, or a listening ear, and her gentle spirit and unwavering trust in God left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Patricia's family finds comfort in the assurance of her faith and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. While her kindness, encouragement, and love touched countless lives, those who knew her best will forever remember her infectious laughter and remarkable sense of humor. She found joy in everyday moments and had a special gift for turning ordinary experiences into memorable stories. To Patricia, there was always something to smile about, and often something to laugh about.
The stories she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the joy she brought to family gatherings will remain treasured memories for generations to come. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and in the countless moments of laughter and love she created with family and friends.
