Paul James Tucci, 83, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
Born on February 24, 1943, in Oak Park, IL to the late Mildred Eckart Tucci and the late James L. Tucci. Paul was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret "Peggy" Mary Schaffer Tucci, and his sister, Suzanne Tucci.
Paul lived a life rooted in hard work, strong relationships, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who especially enjoyed bird hunting, finding peace and joy in time spent outside. Paul dedicated much of his life to body and fender repair, working both independently and alongside others. He took pride in his craftsmanship and was a valued member of the Busted Knuckle Garage, where he formed many lasting friendships.
Paul will be remembered for his steady nature, his hardworking spirit, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Tucci of Concord; Sam Tucci and wife Spring of Concord; Kristen Frame and husband Jason of Shelby; and his cherished grandchildren, Gavin and Landon Tucci, who were a special source of pride and joy in his life. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Though his passing was unexpected, Paul's family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Peggy. His life was one of quiet strength, dedication, and love-qualities that will continue to live on in those who knew him. May his family find peace in the memories they hold and strength in the love that continues to surround them.
