Paul drew his last breath with his beloved youngest daughter, Laura, by his side, while other cherished family members were en route to bid their final farewells.

Born on November 8, 1955, in the picturesque landscape of South England, Paul was the cherished son of Francis and Joan. Though he has now joined his late wife, Valerie, in peaceful rest, his legacy continues to thrive in the lives of those who remain.

Paul and Valerie's love story began in 1977 when they married, embarking on a journey that saw them cross oceans and continents. At the tender age of 22, Paul courageously left England, setting down roots in the United States. The couple's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant experiences, from the bustling streets of New York City to the sunlit shores of Boca Raton, Florida, eventually finding serenity amidst the tranquil beauty of Brevard, North Carolina. It was here that they chose to nurture their family, raising their two daughters, Jennifer and Laura, with unwavering devotion.

A man of diverse talents and interests, Paul's professional journey was as rich and varied as his personal one. He began his career as a computer programmer during the technological boom of the 1970s and 80s. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he went on to own and operate a successful chain of laundromats before finding fulfillment in the compassionate role of a phlebotomist, where he was known for his gentle touch and reassuring presence.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul was a man of culture and intellect, a steadfast advocate for the classics. His passion for early Bond films and mid-century cinema was infectious, and he took great joy in sharing the wit and whimsy of British humor, particularly the comedic genius of Monty Python. Paul was a formidable chess player and a keen backgammon enthusiast, never shying away from a friendly challenge.

Paul's character was defined by his kindness, wit, and unwavering politeness, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Paul's memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts of his surviving family: his daughters, Jennifer and Laura, their husbands, Larry and Christian, and his cherished grandson Luca. In accordance with Paul's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
