Randy Lee Starnes Sr

CONCORD- Randy Lee Starnes Sr, 66, passed away on August 22, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

A 1:00pm funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The family will gather at 2367 Helen Dr in Concord the remaining times.

Randy was born in Monroe on May 2, 1906. He was the son of Homer Ray and Samantha Olene Brantley Starnes. Randy had worked for decades at Cannon Mills/Firldcrest Cannon until the mill completely closed. He later joined his son's construction company, P.S. Custom Construction, until recently. He loved spending time on the river, beach trips, Deer hunting, and especially saltwater fishing. He was married for over 35 years to his wife, Anita Thomas Starnes, and has missed her since 2017. He was a good husband, a caring brother, a loving father and a super proud grandfather.

Mr. Starnes leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly E. Starnes (Trey Wyatt) of Concord; sons, Phillip E. Starnes (Jessica) of Concord and Randy Lee Starnes Jr of Greensboro; sister, Debbie S. Cook (Richard) of Kannapolis; brother, Jerry Ray Starnes (Frances) of Monroe; grandchildren, Raeann, Austin (Taylor), Lukas, Brayden, Cameron, Hunter, Evan, and Abigail; and great granddaughter, Avery.
