Robert John Papalski, (but you can call me Bob),age 70, passed away peacefully at home in Concord, North Carolina, on the evening of February 12, 2026.
Bob was born on October 13, 1955, in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in his beloved hometown of Bayonne, New Jersey.
After studying electrical engineering at DeVry Institute, he spent his career as an electrical technician, applying his skills to building and testing transmitters and receivers.
Beyond his professional work, Bob's greatest passion was music. He loved creating it, studying it, and preserving it. Many knew him happiest with a Coors Light nearby, guitar in hand, playing and recording his music, completely at home in the sounds he loved to create. Music was not just entertainment to him, but a language he explored with patience and devotion.
Bob will be remembered as a kind and gentle man whose steady presence and good heart left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Papalski, his daughter, Arcadia Lee, sister Ann Baran, brother Joe Papalski ( wife Cindy), brother Ray Papalski , brother John Papalski ( wife Mary), sister Jeanne Sorrenti and many beloved nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his son, Laike Papalski, sister Marie Papalski and his parents, Helen and Raymond Papalski.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 28, 2026 at Wilkinson Funeral Home at 4pm, the family will receive friends before the service from 2-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites loved ones to honor Robert by listening to a favorite classic rock song and thinking of him.
