A life beautifully lived, a heart deeply loved

CONCORD- Sandra Lee Green Kepley 71, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family on August 5, 2026. She was born in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Sandra was the daughter of the late Oscar Lawrence Green and Lena Ruth Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Felicia Kepley; brothers, Danny Robert Green, Oscar L Green Jr; sisters, Kathy Parris and Shirley Hunsucker.

Sandra grew up in a large family. She was the forth of nine children. She was a fighter from day she was born ‘till the day she took her last breath. She loved her parents and all her siblings with her whole heart. Sandra had two children and then came her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She loved all her grandchildren and great grands immensely. She was a hard worker that spent many years working in Cannon Mills and hosiery mills. She loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family!

Sandra is survived by her two loving children, Robert Kepley (Gina) of Rockwell and Sandra “Jeanie” Shutters of Concord and her life-long friend and father of her children, Baxter Kepley.

She is also survived by her siblings, Ruth Marie “Susie” of Concord, Mary Elizabeth “Kitty” of Coats, NC, Peggy Lucille Blackwelder of Concord, and Kelly Mitchel Green of Concord. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Michael Kepley, Brian Kepley, Tiffani Keplay, and Megan Kepley, and three great grandchildren, Ryder, Bella, and Kinzley. She also leaves behind her special niece, Jennifer who was by her side every day till she took her last breath, along with all the other special nieces, nephews, and cousins who will always cherish her life and memory.

Sandra will remembered with a 10:00am, Saturday August 8, 2026, Graveside service at West Concord Cemetery. Rev. Ronald Hartman will be officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9am to 10am at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
