Terry Lynn Manus, 65, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1960 to Margaret Manus and the late Archie Manus.
If you knew Terry, you knew he loved collecting and selling old classic toys throughout his life. Growing up, he especially loved Batman and Robin. When he was a kid, he was often seen around the house wearing a towel or cape around his neck, jumping off anything he could as he imagined himself a superhero.
Terry was also a talented auctioneer and loved the excitement and community that came with auctions. His passion for collectibles and antiques made it a natural fit, and he enjoyed the friendships and stories that came along with the auction world.
Terry was employed for over 42 years with the television station now known as WCNC (formerly Channel 36). He ran audio for the station and truly loved his work there,
One of the greatest joys in Terry's life was attending festivals with his mom. They were partners in everything they did and especially enjoyed visiting flea markets. One of the highlights of their earlier years together was attending the Oyster Festival at Ocean Isle.
Terry will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and the joy he found in simple things in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Manus, sister, Barry Mizelle (Kenny). He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer Ennis (John), Jessica Cochran (Ryan), Erin James (Rob), and Ashlyn Mizelle. Terry is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Brooklyn Ennis, Reece Cochran, Emma James, and Brady James.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 19th at 1pm at Boger Reformed Church with Rev. Dr. John Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.
In-Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger Reformed Church, 7313 Gold Hill Road, Concord, NC 28025.
