Uriel Nava

Uriel Nava, 38, of Concord, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 11 at 9:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Concord, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home (690 Sunderland Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027) on Sunday evening at 6:00.

Uriel was born on August 14, 1986, in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, to Isabel Hesiquio Sanchez and the Jesus Nava Castro. He made a life for himself and his family in Concord, where he worked in the masonry trade with Griffin Masonry. Uriel was known for his hard work, strong character, and quiet devotion to those he loved.

Though he left this world far too soon, Uriel's life was filled with moments of joy, laughter, and deep love for his family. He especially treasured his role as a father and took immense pride in his four sons—Matthew, Uriel O., Lucas, and Neftali. His strength and dedication will live on in each of them.

Uriel is survived by his beloved mother, Isabel Hesiquio of Concord; his sons, Matthew, Uriel O., Lucas, and Neftali Nava, all of Concord; his brother, Alberto Valentin of Concord; his sister, Jamileth Aranda of Atlanta, GA; and a large extended family who loved him dearly.

Uriel’s family finds comfort in their faith and community, and they are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time.

Se celebrará una misa fúnebre el lunes 11 de agosto a las 9:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica St. James en Concord, con el entierro inmediatamente después en el cementerio de la iglesia. La familia recibirá a los amigos en su hogar (690 Sunderland Rd SW Concord, NC 28027) el domingo de 6:00.

Uriel nació el 14 de agosto de 1986 en Acapulco, Guerrero, México, hijo de Isabel Hesiquio Sánchez y de Jesús Nava Castro. Formó una vida para él y su familia en Concord, donde trabajó en el oficio de la albañilería con Griffin Masonry. Uriel era conocido por su arduo trabajo, carácter firme y su devoción silenciosa hacia quienes amaba.

Aunque partió de este mundo demasiado pronto, la vida de Uriel estuvo llena de momentos de alegría, risas y un profundo amor por su familia. Valoraba especialmente su papel como padre y sentía un inmenso orgullo por sus cuatro hijos — Matthew, Uriel O., Lucas y Neftalí. Su fortaleza y dedicación vivirán en cada uno de ellos.

A Uriel le sobreviven su querida madre, Isabel Hesiquio de Concord; sus hijos, Matthew, Uriel O., Lucas y Neftalí Nava, todos de Concord; su hermano, Alberto Valentín de Concord; su hermana, Jamileth Aranda de Atlanta, GA; y una gran familia extendida que lo amaba profundamente.

La familia de Uriel encuentra consuelo en su fe y en su comunidad, y agradece sinceramente las muestras de amor y apoyo durante este tiempo.
