Walter Williamson

Mr. Walter Brown Williamson, Sr., 83, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Wilkinson Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Rev Allen Montgomery. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.

Walter was born on January 14, 1936 in Toombs County, GA to the late Emery and Alice King Williamson. He came to Concord as a young adult and worked in textiles until his retirement in 2003. Walter was predeceased by his wife, Beulah Smith Williamson.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Pittman of China Grove; sons, Bill Williamson and wife, Belinda of Concord, Walter Williamson, Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Concord, Danny Williamson and wife, Jewel of Concord; sister Alice Strickland and husband, Bill, of Murphy; brother, Robert Williamson and wife, Susie, of Hurt, VA; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Pittman, Danny Williamson II, Amanda Nelson, Brittany Williamson, Hannah Williamson, Ciera Williamson and Sarah Williamson; 3 great-grandchildren Eric Pittman, Blake Pittman and Jackson Nelson.
