As part of the 4th generation of the Wilkinson family, J. Heilig Wilkinson III has worked with the funeral home since 1974. Because he grew up in Concord, Heilig cares deeply about the community. He is passionate about helping people during the difficult time after losing a loved one.


In his free time, Heilig enjoys bird and duck hunting and visiting Lake Norman.

As part of the fifth generation of the Wilkinson family, Jay has been with Wilkinson Funeral Home since 2008. A native of Concord, he received his Bachelor of Science in business management and finance from NC State. 


Jay is a devoted fan of the Carolina Panthers and NC State football. When he’s not cheering on his favorite teams, he enjoys hunting at the lake and skiing. Jay volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club, Rotary, CVAN, and Central UMC. He and his wife Lindsey have two girls, Grace and Charlotte, and a golden retriever.

Originally from Charlotte, Rina has worked with us for 25 years. She is passionate about supporting families throughout the funeral planning process and assuring them they’re not alone. She has received her funeral director license and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music. 


Rina loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and cooking.

As a Concord native and Concord High School graduate, Rusty cares deeply about serving the community. He has worked at the funeral home since 1986, assisting his neighbors and friends after the loss of someone they love. 


When he’s not caring for families, he enjoys traveling, fishing, and snorkeling. He and his wife, Lori, have one son and one daughter.

A native of Concord, Chris Z. Ferguson graduated from First Assembly Christian School in 1991. After deciding to go into funeral care, Chris attended the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science and received his funeral director certification in 1994. He has worked at Wilkinson Funeral Home for 34 years. 


When he’s not serving families, Chris enjoys going to the beach, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and his three dogs, Remi, Charlie, and Greta. He teaches American Karate at Allison Karate and is a second-degree black belt.

Born and raised in Concord, Ray enjoys being around people and helping them in hard times. With 27 years of experience at the funeral home, he strives to make the planning process as easy as possible for the families we serve. 


In his free time, Ray enjoys going to the beach and the mountains with his family and his two dogs. He loves hunting, fishing, and playing baseball, and he volunteers as an assistant baseball coach.

As a funeral assistant, Sandy loves meeting new people and helping behind the scenes to make sure the family’s needs are met. He joined the Wilkinson Funeral Home team in 2020 and has provided excellent care to families since then. 


Outside of work, Sandy enjoys working on racecars, racing, and hunting. He also volunteers at Moose Lodge.

Ali cares deeply about helping people during one of the most difficult times of their lives. As a native of Concord, she wants to care for her neighbors and friends in the community. She has received associate degrees in funeral service education and in respiratory therapy. 


When she’s not caring for families at the funeral home, Ali enjoys beekeeping, farming, and spending time with her family, especially her husband Luke and son Tommy. They also have a little girl on the way! Their family has one dog, Bo, a three-legged cat, Bean, and seven chickens.
